Kevin Shepard is an Instructional Designer and Trainer based in Colorado, passionate about creating engaging, accessible learning experiences.
He specializes in designing interactive courses that integrate experiential and contemplative learning, helping students, faculty, and staff build meaningful, and lasting skills. Kevin collaborates closely with subject matter experts (SMEs) and organizational leaders to create valuable learning pathways that drive measurable and productive real world results.
Kevin who earned a MA from the University of Southern California and a BA in Psychology and Anthropology from the University of Colorado-Boulder is highly proficient with Canvas LMS, Articulate 360, Adobe Suites, Camtasia, and a variety of digital learning tools. He also works to resolve and support Naropa’s LMS system help-desk by resolving any issues faculty, staff, or students experience in the LMS.
At Naropa University, Kevin administers the Canvas LMS and works with faculty and staff to build fully online Bachelor’s degree programs and courses, ensuring high-quality digital learning experiences. Partnering closely with the Office of Accessibility to Kevin works to ensure all courses meet ADA compliance standards and are accessible to all students.
Kevin joined Naropa following the award of a Title III grant from the U.S. Department of Education titled "Leveraging Educational Technologies for Student Success." Since then, he has been part of a team that developed more than 80 asynchronous online Bachelor’s courses, contributing to the launch of 4 majors and 9 minors during the course of the grant.
